Walk In Wardrobe in a converted barn

Walk In Wardrobe in a converted barn

Our clients had a room with a built in wardrobe which they wanted to turn into more of an open walk in and thus making better use of the space available. The task was a challenging one, being an old barn with sloping ceilings which meant we couldn’t make use of the total height of the room.

THE RESULT:

We used an Oak carcass to match the beams in the house, with a variety of drawers, hanging and shelving – we even created a special space for our clients’ watch winder! To give a little contrast we made the drawer fronts in a Beige Sandy finish. We put an upstand at the top behind which has LED lights to create soft diffused lighting into the pitched ceiling, with more LED lights down the sides of the gables.

Finally we designed separate suspended shoe shelf high enough for a laundry basket to fit underneath.

Our client was very happy with their light, open but well organised walk in!
